Sue began her ministry as a church organist in 1963 and continued a ministry of music until 1997. At the same time, she owned and operated a custom photolab specializing in large murals and fine art photography. After moving north to Honey Harbour, she received a call to the Diaconate.

Following graduation from Wycliffe College, Sue was ordained to the Diaconate in the Diocese of Toronto in 2004. She has been the Deacon of the Parishes of Coldwater-Medonte and Penetang & Waubaushene, retiring from the latter parish in 2017. Her ministry has been as an administrator of a food bank in Waubaushene from 2006 to 2017 and serving on Diocesan committees.
