St. George Anglican Church and Cemetery, Fairvalley

The cemetery is part of the original Steele land endowment to St. George.

Captain Elmes Steele donated the land for a consecrated cemetery in preparation for the death of his wife’s mother.  The land was registered in 1833.  Many residents in this part of Oro-Medonte can trace their familial history from here.

The St. George Cemetery is managed by a cemetery board. Don Reid is the Cemetery Board’s Committee Chairperson. Bonnie Smith is the Cemetery Board’s Secretary-Treasurer. An annual (outdoor) cemetery service is held the third Sunday in July. Please contact us if you have any questions or need information about the cemetery.
